Dog on Water Ramp is the best

We have tried numerous dog ramps. This is by far the best. Our Labradoodle is 85 lbs. and has no trouble using it. He gives it a thumbs up.

Great addition to our boat

Our dogs, specially our Rotti, love to jump in the water off our boat. This ramp just made the whole experience safer easier, and relaxing to all of us. Our pups no longer need to rely on us to pull them back onboard. It’s sturdy enough to hold our 110 lbs Rotti and our dogs learned to use it fairly quick.I love the fact that it doesn’t interfere with the boat ladder. Super quick set up/take down. The ropes that come with the ramp are on the shorter side. We ended up replacing them with better/stronger ones. Aside from that, we are beyond happy with this product. Shipping to Canada was fast. Import fees were CAN$118 so plan for that extra cost.

Needs improvement for LARGE dogs

The ramp isn’t long enough for a large dog to get his back legs on the underwater mesh ramp, and the two sides are very slippery. So, our big boy slides around with his front legs trying to get some traction because his back legs can’t get on the underwater mesh ramp. He EVENTUALLY manages to work his way up, but it takes hime a long time and he doesn’t like it. He will swim around in circles for a while because he doesn’t want to try getting up the ramp. For large dogs, the underwater mesh needs to be longer and not a steep ramp, it could just stay low under the water, then once the dog is on it, they are big enough to jump up on the platform. The sides of the platform should have tread as well. Definitely yeah needs inprovement for big and tall dogs.

After several attempts to find a system for getting my two labs (1) back onto our dock and (2) back onto our boat - I found this amazingly simple, safe, and effective product. My 60lb female is nimble like a cat and can climb the people ladder but my 95 lb male struggled with steps and ramps due to his size and awkwardness. He mastered the Dog on Water Ramp his very first attempt and our problems were instantly solved. I’m thinking about buying a second one and putting it in storage just so I know I have one in case something happens to my first one or the company that makes you them! It’s very easy to setup/takedown and appears to be very well made and durable.
